Hi,

Well I was going to share photos of the new MkIV collimator I have got my hands on, complete and in its transport case, still with the tape over the optics from its last calibration.

It was modified to also collimate AFV Periscopes as well by the military.

Weighs a fair bit though.

Still I can't post photos so you will have to use your imagination.

Hippie

There is a topic in almost anything goes called boost your post count. You can post a bunch of one word posts til u get to 50

Private, so it seems it needs an invite and a password.

So,

Got back home at the weekend eager to view my new toy.
I must admit to some disappointment.

When the device was upgraded to collimate the AFV periscopes, they removed the binocular supports from the kit.

So now I have to make some, as it is unlikely I will be able to find originals anywhere, but heh! You never know.

If anyone has any decent pictures of these I would like to see them,  I have seen them in some online photos, but there are not very clear, also difficult to judge dimensions from them. Particularly the lengths as I believe the height of them would be somewhat critical.

Some assumptions: The 'V' sections are 90 degrees to each other, the support sits in clamping bracket of some kind on the support plate. This bracket can be moved along the slot axis in the mounting plate.
